Construction Equipment Consumption up 14% in February

In February, consumption of new construction equipment increased 14.3% compared to February 2013. Additionally, in that last 12 months sales are up 21.9% year-over-year.

As a result, equipment consumption is now 57.5% of the peak February volume set in 2005. And for the first time since 2008, equipment sales are above the February 10 year average.
