This year’s Great American Trucking Show (GATS) is just around the corner. Which means it is time to nominate your pick for the 2019 edition of The Mike O’Connell Trucking’s Next Top Rookie Award. The winner will receive $10,000 as well as other prizes. In addition, nine other finalists will receive $1,000 and prize packages.The winner will be announced at GATS on Friday, August 23rd at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, TX.
Truckers News is proud to be partnering with the Commercial Vehicle Training Association, the National Association Of Publicly Funded Truck Driving Schools, and the Professional Truck Driver Institute to find this year’s top rookie. The criteria to be considered include:
- Availability for loads
- On-time delivery
- Highway safety performance
- Customer relations
- Work record
- Non-job related activities
